About this Desktop Theme

As some of you may know certain songs of this album (namely Closer) have explicit lyrics, but it is also one of the best songs off the album.  So I have included two sets of sounds for the theme.  Theme 1 doesn't contain swearing, but Theme 2 contains samples of songs with swearing (you have been warned).  The Wallpaper for Theme 2 has the "Parental Advisory" sticker that I thought would go well with the sound files for this theme.

This is my second major Nine Inch Nails Desktop Theme, My first was a theme for The Fragile, this theme received 5 stars from the ThemeDoctor and can be downloaded from the Theme World website.

Installing the Desktop Theme
 

1. Using WinZip open the archive, click Actions and select Extract.  Make the Extraction Target C:\, and check the Use Folder Names option, and then click the Extract Button.  If you want to extract the files elsewhere then you can choose your own path.  This will extract the contents of the archive to c:\program files\plus!\themes\downward spiral.
2. A True Type font will be placed in the Downward Spiral\Font folder, to install this font start your windows explorer and browse to the Windows\Fonts folder.  Click File and Install New Font and browse to the Downward Spiral\Font folder and select the font and click OK.
3. To install the Startup, Wait and Shutdown Logo screens double-click the Downward Spiral Logo Screens.exe file in the Downward Spiral\Logo Screens folder.
4. Webview images (for Windows'98 users):

To install the webview images, copy WVLeft.bmp, WVLogo.gif and WVLine.gif from the Downward Spiral\Web folder into your Windows web folder (usually C:\Windows\Web).
Note: You MUST make a backup before copying the files.
5. The Winamp Skin is stored in a ZIP file in the Downward Spiral\Winamp Skin folder.  To install the skin open the archive, and set the extraction target to your Winamp\Skin folder.  You will be able to activate the skin through your Winamp menu.
