GORILLAZ THEME (updated)

How To Install this Theme

Some things on this theme you have to install manually, such as the screensaver, web logos and the startup/shutdown logos (if you wish to use them). Below is how to install the whole theme.

The Theme Itself:
To install the theme just extract the contents of the zip file straight into your themes directory (usually C:\Program Files\Plus!\Themes).

The Screensaver:
To install the screensaver just run the Screensaver.exe file.

The two guides below aren't recommended for amateur computers and I take no responsibility for any mistakes you make.

The Web Logos:
To install these you must find the folder called Web in the windows directory and find the files called: wvleft.gif, wvline.gif and wvlogo.gif and make backup copies of these if you may ever want to reinstall them. Next go to the themes directory on your computer (usually C:\Program Files\Plus!\Themes) and open the folder called gorillaz then the folder named 'Web Logos'. In this folder you will find 3 files called wvleft.gif, wvline.gif and wvlogo.gif, now copy these files to the web folder in the windows directory and they will then work once your restart your browser windows. (DON'T FORGET TO ALWAYS MAKE BACKUPS OF THE ORIGINAL FILES)

The Startup/Shutdown Logos:
To install these logos which appear when you startup and shut down windows first you will need to find 2 files Logos.sys and Logow.sys which are both located in the windows directory and may or may not be hidden. Once you have found these files make backup copies of them if you ever wish to reinstall them. Next go to the themes directory on your computer (usually C:\Program Files\Plus!\Themes) and open the folder called gorillaz then the folder named 'Startup & Shutdown Logos' and copy the files Logos.sys and Logow.sys into the windows directory. The third file in the folder should be Logo.sys, this file needs to be copied into C:\ directory, no old file needs to be backed up here as the is no old file to backup, so if you ever want to remove this startup logo just remove it from the the C:\ directory. (AGAIN DON'T FORGET TO ALWAYS MAKE BACKUPS OF THE ORIGINAL FILES)

How To Un-install this Theme

How To Un-Install The Theme:
If you may ever want to un-install this theme go to the directory to which you installed the theme (usually C:\Program Files\Plus!\Themes) and delete both the Gorillaz folder and the two .theme files (Gorillaz Camo.theme and Gorillaz Pink.theme). After doing this the theme should be totally eradicated from your system.

How To Un-Install The Screensaver:
To remove the screensaver just choose a different one or none at all from the display control panel.

How To Un-Install The Web Logos:
To un-install the web logos just copy the backups you made of the original files into the 'Web' folder in the windows directory.

How To Un-Install The Startup/Shutdown Logos:
To un-install the startup/shutdown logos just copy the backups you made of the files logos.sys and logow.sys into the windows directory, and delete the file logo.sys from the windows directory.

Comments

This is the first ever theme I have created that I have published on the Internet, so any constructive criticism or if you you just want to comment on the theme I will be grateful. You can contact me on the e-mail address at the bottom of the page. In this package I have also included some extra icons that you can use if you want to, and also a set of camouflage cursors that I didn't think suited the camo theme enough for me to use them as default cursors.
