Linkin Park Theme (1.0?)

Thank you for downloading my desktop theme. Of course, the theme is Linkin Park. I wouldn't
consider myself a big fan, but I think that their music is great and I thought I could
- possibly - bring some justice to their talent by making this. Enjoy it, and look for some
others in the future (maybe).

I would suggest that you unzip the contents of this zip file into your Plus! folder, but
it isn't absolutely necessary ... I don't even do it... just make sure that all of the
files are in ONE folder. It you are very into keeping things organized and putting them
in the Plus! folder most of you should unzip into the following

Desktop>My Computer>C:\>Program Files>Plus!>Themes

To apply this theme go to

Desktop>My Computer>Control Panel>Desktop Themes>Theme: the folder extracted to> then choose*:

800 x 600 Linkin.Theme - My personal favorite
1024 x 768 Linkin.Theme
800 x 600 Soldier.Theme
1024 x 768 Soldier.Theme
800 x 600 Cover.Theme
1024 x 768 Cover.Theme

choose the theme that goes along with your resolution... to check

go to Desktop>Properties>Settings> check your resolution*

if it is 800x600 choose that... if it is 1024 x 768 then choose that.

Things to note: I'm aware that some programs will become virtually impossible to read/use
with the Linkin schemes, but I haven't come into contact where any program became entirely
useless with the theme. (the soldier and cover themes should work perfectly) Try it...
if you find that it isn't for you, then go through the following:

Desktop>My Computer>Control Panel>Desktop Themes> choose your theme

The Soldier Theme Wallpaper, as of 1:36AM EST on June 16, 2002, can be found at
http://www.angelfire.com/rock2/1stepcloser/Linkin_Park.jpg ... even though it is a
relatively small operation, it is a pretty cool site... you might want to check it out

One Step Closer - www.angelfire.com/rock2/1stepcloser/home.html

To make the color scheme even better:

All: Desktop>Taskbar>Properties>Show Small Icons in Start menu

Linkin: Desktop>Properties>Appearence>Active Title Bar>Second Color: Red

Soldier: Desktop>Properties>Appearence>Active Title Bar>Second Color: Grey.

Cover: same as soldier

For some reason (it might be me), but My Documents does not change icons automatically...
at least on my computer... but 2 My Documents icons (for the 2 schemes) are in the zip
file... to access them go to

Desktop>Properties>Effects>My Documents>Change Icon>the location you extracted the files>

my documents.ico or
greymydocuments.ico

Really, the Cover Wallpaper can work with either color scheme. To use it with the Linkin
color scheme, open the Linkin Theme, then open the Cover theme, but only select for it
to replace the wallpaper.

I would like to thank the following:

Every single freeware program that is out there... these people spend countless hours
making great products... unfortunately some of them contain spyware and other crap.

Linkin Park, 311, Incubus, Matchbox 20 - before Mad Season, Green Day, 3 Doors Down

................ Got to put it: family and friends, even though they don't exactly care that
I made this.
