Pros:
Tom Cruse managed to cruse right to the top in M12 and
this theme is right on his tail. A professionally created 1024x768
bitmap wallpaper straight from the official M12 movie site covers the
desktop along with similar quality desktop icons and system logo
screens. An explosive new screen saver makes up for the lack of quality
cursors but...
Cons:
We would like to see something original and new in the cursor
department. The 'Help Select' cursor hotspot is off. Several sound files
are also cut abruptly. More importantly, there are no installation
instructions included and since the folder names used in this zip
archive are a little off, it may be tough for some users to install this
one. The best bet would be to extract this one to a 'New Folder' and
then browse down through the folder names until you get to the main
'M12' directory. Then copy the 'M12' folder and the main 'M12.theme'
file into your themes directory. You'll also need to move the screen
save to your 'Windows\system' directory before it will load properly. -
If you're confused by any of this, wait for the update because the
author should be able to fix the directory structure issues very easily.
Overall:
If you're a die-hard M12 fan who can't wait for the update, go ahead and
give it a shot. It's not that hard to figure out the installation.
Basically, everything goes in a new 'M12' directory within the themes
directory. We really should nag the author for an update, if we only had
some contact information. - Oh, and this will not self-destruct in 5
seconds.
